Expense Categories
Use categories as prompts, then include only the recurring items that actually apply.
A category is a memory aid
Categories help people remember repeated costs, but they do not determine whether an item is necessary or optional. The same payment can belong in different categories depending on its purpose. Consistency matters more than finding a universally perfect label.

Avoid double counting
Enter a recurring amount once. For example, if a bundled mobile plan already includes a device installment, do not also enter the full bundle under utilities and the same device payment under shopping unless the charges are genuinely separate. When a card payment includes many purchases, entering both the purchases and the full card payment would also duplicate the same money.
Use custom items for local or personal costs
MoneyVra includes common examples, but recurring obligations differ by country, employer, household and lifestyle. The custom-expense row lets a user name a cost directly inside the most relevant category. A clear name such as “building cooling fee” is more useful than a vague label such as “other.”
